I'm having some problem with OS download from Engineering Station to redundant OS server. I have experienced this after restoring the Engineering Station using Norton Ghost back up.. Our Engineering Station have some problem before the restoration takes place. Its hanging and freezing.. You cant open applications and sometimes it takes too long to open an application..
After restoration, I created a new Windows username and password. We opened the multi project and WinCC and activated it without any problem..All areas are online.. But when I tried to download changes to the redundant OS server, a pop up will appear saying that the Master Server in not activated, please perform an entire OS download. I tried entire downloading the OS both on the redundant servers and it was successful. But when I tried to download changes, the pop up will appear. By the way the redundant OS servers also uses the Windows username name and password that I created on the engineering station. I can also ping the OS servers from the ES. I also tried copying a txt file from ES to the Shared folder of the redundant OS servers.
1. Im using the same windows username and password for ES and our redundant servers. Same workgroup too. I can actually ping the redundant servers from the ES. I also tried transferring a file from ES to redundant servers shared folder.
4. Im using the same multiproject on Drive D. We actually put our multiproject on Drive D. The default location I think is in drive C under s7Proj folder but were nit using that location. After restoring the ES usinbg norton ghost back up, I created a new windows user same with what our redundant servers were using. Log on using this new Windows user. Opened Step 7 and browsed the existing project in drive D. I also tried to run simatic settings on ES only then I also restarted the ES computer. Its still the same.
